I've been googling around about this new treatment being introduced and implemented lately that is called Carboxytherapy that helps to reduce fats, cellulites deposits & even skin stretchmarks in our body.

According to this site : http://www.carboxytherapy.com/
Carboxytherapy refers to the cutaneous and subcutaneous administration of carbon dioxide gas [CO2] for therapeutic purposes. Carboxytherapy originated at the Royal Spas of France in 1932 with the treatment of patients afflicted by peripheral arterial occlusive disease. In South America and Europe, carbon dioxide therapy has been applied to the treatment of stretch marks, cellulite, and hypertrophic scars with impressive results. Studies have demonstrated that carboxytherapy improves skin elasticity, improves circulation, encourages collagen repair, improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and destroys localized fatty deposits. Carbon dioxide is a natural constituent of our very being. We breathe in oxygen, and we exhale carbon dioxide. Plants take up the carbon dioxide, and in turn give us the oxygen that we need. There are no known risks associated with carboxytherapy. Carbon dioxide injection.

I've researched everything about this therapy from reading medical sites , watching videos ( on how is this being done ) , checking out reviews & blogs who undergo this treatment.
After my thorough research over the internet , I learned that it has no side effects at all except for , you will have skin redness at the injected areas but eventually it will heal after 3 days or so.
These are my research results that I gathered so far:
(price based in the Philippines)
* Price ranges between Php 2,000 to 10,000 / per session (depending on the target area)
* Treatment duration lasts for 15 - 30 minutes
* Must undergo at least 3 - 6 sessions to see the results. For massive cellulite deposits it is recommended to have at least 10 sessions per target area.
* Can be done at least once a week (if you where to treat the same target area)
* Pregnants are not allowed to undergo this treatment.
* It helps to reduce skin lines and stretchmarks.
I was so excited to undergo this treatment this might help me to solve my cellulite & stretchmark problems that I got due to my pregnancy.
I have came accross different clinics to compare the prices and I found out that is quite expensive but hey! my partner in life found this groupon site that offers 6 Carboxy Sessions w/ Slimming Wrap for only Php 2,500 only! at Total Skin Care Clinic Makati .
WOW! Isn't that great! However , I was quite skeptic about this clinic's reputation. I googled around the internet for some blogs and reviews about Total Skin Care Clinic services & I found nothing but it's doctor's blog where she works on that Clinic.
Because of their offer ( Even though having second thoughts of getting this treatment under this clinic )I'll still give them a try.
This is the highlight of their promo:
I will post my review after each session so my 1st session will be on March 19, 2013 so stay tuned!
What happened with your first session? Did it look good?
ReplyDeleteIt's a hell lot of pain. I've been poked many times over. My recommendation was on the 3rd comment.
DeleteHow was the treatment going? Please update us. Thank you
ReplyDeleteTreatment is literally "tiis-ganda" It's very very painful and stressful for me to tolerate the pain while inserting Co2 underneath your stretchmark skin. As for slimming wrap, it doesn't have any effect on me. My recommendation was on the 3rd comment.
DeleteSorry for my late response , was busy lately.Anyway , overall I wasn't able to get back for my last two sessions , because a lot of errands coming on so here's my result. I didn't get the result that I want, I still have a lot of stretchmarks but some targeted area has been lighted but not completely diminish.
ReplyDeleteSlimming warp didn't work on my case. I didn't take my photos before and after because it will be ugly and awkward.
My conclusion , the clinic is pretty neat & simple and staffs are friendly. After my 1st treatment a staff just recommended me some of their products to use during my session but I didn't buy it. There was also this staff I forgot her name but I like her a lot she do my 2nd treatment very well. I don't think six sessions is not enough (for my case) it'll be more like 20 sessions I guess but I must warn everyone that If you choose to undergo this treatment you gotta have guts to endure the pain to the maximum tolerance because it doesn't have any anesthesia.
Are you still continuing your sessions here? Did it really improve after 6 sessions? I mean, I guess not too drastic change but is it at least noticeable? If you will rate your experience in this clinic from 1-10, what is it?
DeleteSorry for my late response, I did not continue the treatment for the 2nd or 3rd time as I see it not that effective on me, not even a slight changes. Maybe you need more than 10 sessions at least to see improvements. My overall rate experience (as 10 being the highest) with this clinic is 6/10.
DeleteIt was that painful? I thought you'll be given anesthesia..? With what I watched in Youtube, the Brazilian dr (forgot her name) said carboxy therapy is a painless procedure. Grabe pala >-<
ReplyDeleteHi Missy , inserting Co2 underneath my stretchmark is way too painful for me. As for the doctor who told that it is "painless" may be she was talking about inserting the Co2 on the cellulite not on the skin.
DeleteCause I've tried carboxy treatment both on stretchmark and cellulite, I say inserting Co2 on cellulite is less painful and tolerable.

ReplyDeleteI am very amazed by the information of this blog and I am glad that I had a look over this blog.
ReplyDeletebefore and after stretch mark treatment
hello po!!! ano napo baliita sa mga ilang sessions niyo po? natanggal po ba?
ReplyDeleteHello - I am no longer doing this treatment for the 2nd or 3rd time as I see it not that effective on me and also since it is painful due the fact that I don't have anesthesia, I changed my mind to stop pursuing this treatment.
